Inktober is basically a prompt, or a call to action for artists to produce one pen and ink a day for the entire month of October. I had never heard of this until this year and decided to join in on the fun. I was alternately behind schedule and on schedule constantly, but I enjoyed trying to stay on top of it all. In scanning the work for Inktober I found that I'd actually done more than the number required. I numbered them as I posted them, but in reviewing my posts I see that I'd miscounted. I also had some good days where I did lots more than one, but only posted one of the bunch as counting toward the series. I'm posting everything here, though I'll number the actual ones used in the series.

With the exception of one or two pieces these were all drawn in my sketchbooks. I don't pencil but go straight with the brush or pen — wing and a prayer stuff. I like forcing myself to live with the lines that go down rather than set up a safety net. I find if I pencil first it feels like I'm just rehashing when I come back with a pen or brush.

Anyway, hope you like scoping these out.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION! Lots more on the way!
