This piece was the cover to the first Harry Turtledove "Homefront" alternate history series for Random House. I did the entire 3-book series of covers.

A Monotype is basically a one-off print of a painting done directly on an etching, or plexiglas plate. This is then run through an etching press and delivers one single print.

One can run a second print, called a Ghost Print, which is very much lighter than the original painting, having it's own unique qualities.
