Before I began painting on my graphic novel Batman: Harvest Breed I drew the panels on separate pieces of paper to finalize the content. I was really happy with the drawings because they were much more direct than the final paintings. They were the catalyst that led me to how I worked on my Wolverine: Netsuke series for Marvel. The drawings have a certain life and immediacy to them that the paintings lack.
